1-450 Engineering Leveling Guide





Engineering is one of the more interesting professions, and leveling it can be a lot of fun, but also very expensive. If you’re power-leveling two professions together, mining goes very well with engineering. However, the fastest way to level engineering by far, is to buy all the materials on the auction house. Otherwise, leveling engineering can get pretty complicated once you get deep into it.
Here’s a quick 1-450 Engineering Leveling Guide to get you going.

• Visit the engineering trainer and learn Apprentice Engineering.
  
• Levels 1 – 25: Rough Blasting Powder— You’ll need Rough Stone to make this item.
  
• Levels 25 – 50: Handful of Copper Bolts (Copper Bars) or Rough Dynamite (2 Rough Blasting Powder each, 1 Linen Cloth each)
  
• Go back to the engineering trainer and learn Journeyman Engineering.
  

• Level 51: Arclight Spanner—6 Copper Bars. This item is a tool you’ll need to craft other engineering items down the road.
  
• Levels 52 – 75: Copper Tubes (2 Copper Bars + Weak Flux), Copper Modulators (2 Handfuls of Copper Bolts, 1 Copper Bar, 2 Linen Cloth)
  
• Levels 75 – 90: Coarse Blasting Powder—Coarse Stone
  
• Levels 90 – 95: Coarse Dynamite—3 Coarse Blasting Powder, 1 Linen Cloth
  
• Levels 95 – 125: Bronze Tubes (Silver Contacts, Practice Locks, Flying Tiger Goggles
  

• Levels 125 – 150: Heavy Blasting Powder (Heavy Stone), Whirring Bronze Gizmos (2 Bronze Bars, Wool Cloth), Big Bronze Bombs (2 Heavy Blasting Powder, 3 Bronze Bar, and Silver Contact)
  
• Levels 150 – 175: Gold Power Cores (Gold Bar), Bronze Frameworks, (2 Bronze Bars, Medium Leather, Wool Cloth) Explosive Sheep (Bronze Framework, Whirring Bronze Gizmo, 2 Heavy Blasting Powder, 2 Wool Cloth)
  
• Level 175 – 176: Gyromatic Micro-Adjuster – 4 Steel Bars. This item is another engineering tool you’ll need to make more items.
  
• Levels 176 – 200: Iron Struts (2 Iron Bars), Solid Blasting Powder (2 Solid Stone), Mithril Tubes (3 Mithril Bars)
  
• Go back to your engineering trainer and learn Artisan Engineering.
  
• Also choose a specialty: Gnomish or Goblin Engineering. Engineering Specializations are unlocked through quest chains for each.
  

• Levels 200 – 225: Unstable Triggers (Mithril Bar, Mageweave Cloth, and Solid Blasting Powder), Hi-Impact Mithril Slugs (Mithril Bar and Solid Blasting Powder), Mithril Casings (3 Mithril Bars)
  
• Levels 225 – 300: Hi-Explosive Bombs (2 Mithril Casings, Unstable Trigger, 2 Solid Blasting Powder), Mithril Gyro-Shot (2 Mithril Bars and 2 Solid Blasting Powder), Dense Blasting Powder (2 Dense Stone), Thorium Grenades (Thorium Widget, 3 Thorium Bars each, 3 Dense Blasting Powder each, and 3 Runecloth each), Thorium Tubes (6 Thorium Bars each).
  
• Go back to the engineering trainer to learn Master Engineering.

• Level 450: Epic Goggles—These will vary, depending on which set of epic goggles you decide to make.
